SUPPORT LAO STUDENT FOR TET
In an effort to bring warmth and emotional support to Laotian international students studying at the Academy of Journalism and Communication in Vietnam, the Happy Home Fund organized a meaningful support activity to celebrate the 2021 Lunar New Year. As part of the program, the foundation presented practical gifts such as "bánh chưng" (Vietnamese square sticky rice cakes), Kokomi instant noodles, and green bean cakes – gifts that not only held material value but also symbolized the close bond between the peoples of Vietnam and Laos.
"Bánh chưng" – a symbol of the Vietnamese Lunar New Year – was gifted to provide the students an opportunity to experience the traditional culture of Vietnam during the festive season. Meanwhile, the Kokomi noodles and green bean cakes were practical items, helping the students better cope with their time away from home.
These gifts brought joy, warmth, and a spirit of sharing between the two nations, especially during a time when the students were away from their homeland for such an important traditional holiday. The act of gifting by the Happy Home Fund represented the genuine affection of the Vietnamese people toward their Laotian friends, further strengthening the friendship between the two countries.
The representative of the Happy Home Fund shared that this activity was not merely about giving gifts, but also aimed to boost the morale of Laotian students, helping them overcome the challenges of studying abroad, particularly during important holidays. Though small, the gifts carried deep meaning, serving as a testament to the solidarity, cultural connection, and enduring friendship between Vietnam and Laos.
Many Laotian students expressed their gratitude and were moved by this thoughtful gesture. They shared that the gifts from the Happy Home Fund were not just material support but also a valuable source of emotional encouragement, making them feel more loved and connected to life in Vietnam.
This meaningful initiative by the Happy Home Fund will undoubtedly continue to serve as a cultural bridge, further tightening the bond between the two nations, while also motivating Laotian students with the confidence and determination to pursue their studies and development in Vietnam.
