ASSOCIATE PROFESSOR DR. NGUYEN THI TO QUYEN HONORED AT THE "VIETNAM - INDIA CULTURAL AND ECONOMIC EXCHANGE FORUM"

On the afternoon of August 3, 2023, the "Vietnam-India Cultural and Economic Exchange Forum" took place in New Delhi, India. Mrs. Nguyen Thi To Quyen, Chairwoman of the Board of Directors and Director of the Happy Home Fund, proudly represented distinguished intellectuals, managers, and social activists in receiving the "Outstanding Intellectual, Manager, and Social Activist of Asia-Pacific" award. The award was presented by the Vietnam Federation of UNESCO Associations and the Global Trade and Technology Council of India (GTTC India), under the auspices of the Vietnamese Embassy in India.

The event was attended by Mr. Nguyen Thanh Hai, Ambassador extraordinary and plenipotentiary of Vietnam to India, concurrently accredited to Bhutan and Nepal; Mr. Bui Trung Thuong, Commercial Counselor of Vietnam to India; Mr. Tran Van Manh, Vice-President of the UNESCO Federation for Asia-Pacific and Permanent Deputy Secretary-General of the UNESCO Federation in Vietnam, along with over 80 delegates representing prominent scientists, managers, social activists, entrepreneurs, and business leaders from both countries.

Vietnamese Delegation Participates in Trade Fair within the Forum Framework

The series of events was organized to celebrate 30 years of the establishment of the Vietnam Federation of UNESCO Associations and over 50 years of diplomatic relations between the two countries. The forum provided opportunities for cultural exchanges and the promotion of trade cooperation between businesses of the two countries across various sectors. On the morning of August 3, within the framework of the forum, the Vietnamese delegation visited the Vietnamese Embassy in India. Associate Professor Dr. Nguyen Thi To Quyen had the honor to represent the delegation, expressed about the economic, cultural and trade cooperation between the two nations.

Mrs. Quyen highlighted the historical and positive relationship between Vietnam and India, which is developing favorably based on the "three pillars" of political-diplomatic, defense-security, and economic-trade commitments.

This award recognizes her efforts and contributions to the community, particularly to the disadvantaged and those facing significant challenges in Vietnam.

Mrs. Nguyen Thi To Quyen was born on September 1, 1968, in Phu Loc Commune, Phu Ninh District, Phu Tho Province. She currently serves as the Chairwoman of the Board of Directors and Director of the Happy Home Fund and acts as the Head of the Department of Sociology and Development at the Academy of Journalism and Communication. In 2019, she established the Happy Home Fund (a non-profit charity aimed at supporting and encouraging charitable and humanitarian activities). As the Chairwoman of the Fund, she has built many charity houses and helped individuals and families in difficult circumstances, revolutionarily merited families; lone elderly and orphaned children, and constructed numerous schools in remote and distant areas to improve the lives of the underprivileged in society.
