On April 8th, the Hanoi Youth Union, in collaboration with Happy Home Fund, donated 300 gifts to students facing difficulties due to the impact of the Covid-19 pandemic within the city. Each gift, valued at 1 million VND in cash, was given to 300 students from universities, colleges, and academies.
The activity took place on April 8, 2022. This is an activity that continues the spirit of "joining hands to connect - sharing love" of the activity of Giving support funds to orphans affected by the Covid-19 epidemic in the Central Highlands and Southern provinces.
For the success of this activity, the smooth coordination between the Happy Home Fund and the Hanoi Youth Union is indispensable. Therefore, although the gift-giving ceremony was held in the complicated conditions of the Covid-19 epidemic, all participants were guaranteed safety and followed the 5K rule. The whole gift-giving ceremony was a cozy atmosphere, filled with joy, somewhat easing financial worries.
At the program, the Organizing Committee presented gifts directly to students of universities, colleges and academies. Each gift was worth 1 million VND in cash. Although the material value was not large, the spiritual value was very high, as our grandparents said, "a handful when hungry is worth a package when full." The joy and happiness in the eyes of each student who received the gifts that day was clearly visible.
The gift-giving ceremony was attended by not only 300 students from all over Hanoi, but also by the following:
- Mr. Tran Quang Hung - Deputy Secretary of Hanoi Youth Union, President of the Vietnam Student Association of Hanoi

Speaking at the program, Ms. Nguyen Thi To Quyen, Director of the Happy Home Foundation, emphasized: “With the goal of joining hands to connect and share love, the Happy Home Foundation is delighted to participate in the program and support gifts for students facing difficulties due to the Covid-19 pandemic. Although the material value of the gifts is not substantial, we hope they will help students overcome hardships, feel secure in their studies, and prepare solidly for their future, thereby contributing to the development of the capital and the country.”
Mr. Tran Quang Hung, Deputy Secretary of the Hanoi Youth Union and Chairman of the Vietnam Student Association in Hanoi, stated that supporting students in difficult circumstances to overcome challenges in their studies is a regular activity of the Youth Union. Especially amidst the complex developments of the Covid-19 pandemic, the city's Youth Union has intensified fundraising and support activities to care for students in need, including international students studying in Hanoi, as well as assisting them in finding rental accommodations and suitable dormitory spaces.
