On November 5, 2023, the Happy Home Fund in Hanoi, in collaboration with the Party Committee, People’s Council, People’s Committee, and Fatherland Front Committee of Yen Thuy District; and the Party Committee, People’s Council, People’s Committee, and Fatherland Front Committee of Da Phuc, Phu Lai, and Lac Thinh communes in Yen Thuy District, Hoa Binh Province, held a ceremony to present 3 Great Unity Houses to 3 Muong families facing housing difficulties. Additionally, 500 warm winter blankets were distributed to students from poor families, continuing the program of providing warm blankets to ethnic minorities in the northern highlands
Attending the ceremony were Mr. Bui Van Hong, Deputy Chairman of the Yen Thuy District People’s Committee; leaders and specialists from the Department of Labor, Invalids, and Social Affairs; leaders and specialists from the Department of Education and Training; representatives from the Party Committee, People’s Council, and Fatherland Front Committee of the district; leaders from Da Phuc, Phu Lai, and Lac Thinh communes; and representatives from 21 schools in the district, including 8 primary schools (Lac Luong, Bao Hieu, Da Phuc, Lac Thinh, Yen Lac, Town Primary School, Yen Tri, Ngoc Luong), 8 secondary schools (Lac Luong, Da Phuc, Bao Hieu, Lac Thinh, Town Secondary School, Yen Lac, Yen Tri, Ngoc Luong), and 5 combined primary and secondary schools (PTDT Boarding and Secondary Lac Sy, Primary and Secondary Lac Hung, Primary and Secondary Huu Loi, Primary and Secondary Phu Lai, Primary and Secondary Doan Ket). Representing the Happy Home Fund were Associate Professor Dr. Nguyen Thi To Quyen, Chairwoman of the Board of Management and Director of the Fund, along with other fund leaders.
The Happy Home Fund provided support to Mr. Bui Van Thiet from Beo Hamlet, Da Phuc Commune; Ms. Bui Thi Nin from Ro Hamlet, Phu Lai Commune; and Mr. Bui Van Xiem from Com Hamlet, Lac Thinh Commune, each receiving 50 million VND to build a home. These families all came from the Muong minority group and have been classified as poor households and were facing significant housing difficulties.
At the Yen Thuy District People’s Committee headquarters, witnessed by district and commune leaders, People’s Council, People’s Committee, and Fatherland Front Committee of Yen Thuy District; and the Party Committee, People’s Council, People’s Committee, and Fatherland Front Committee of Da Phuc, Phu Lai, and Lac Thinh communes in Yen Thuy District, Hoa Binh Province, Happy Home Fund distributed 500 warm winter blankets to students from 21 secondary, boarding, and primary schools, who come from families with difficult circumstances. These blankets are part of the ongoing winter blanket program aimed at bringing warmth to ethnic minorities in the northern highlands during the winter season.
In the speech at the ceremony, Associate Professor Dr. Nguyen Thi To Quyen expressed her hope that the initial financial support would help the local community and families build cozy homes as soon as possible to stabilize their lives and develop their family economy. On behalf of the district leadership, Mr. Bui Van Hong, Deputy Chairman of the People’s Committee, thanked the Happy Home Fund for their generous support, helping the Muong people in need by providing practical support for house construction and warm blankets for the poor. He also expressed his wish for the Fund to continue to grow and provide even more support to struggling families to help them improve their lives.
Mr. Bui Van Hong, representing the district leadership and the families, also conveyed his gratitude to the Happy Home Fund, hoping for its continued development and greater contributions to society. He expressed his desire for the Fund to keep supporting the poor in Yen Thuy District, Hoa Binh Province.
