GRATITUDE TO THE HOMETOWNS OF MOTHER THU AND HERO TROI: HAPPY HOME FUND GRANTS 15 GREAT UNITY HOUSES, 1 LIVELIHOOD MODEL, AND 400 WARM WINTER BLANKETS

In gratitude to hometowns of Mother Thu and Anh Troi, the Happy Home Fund presented 15 great unity houses; 01 livelihood model; 400 warm winter blankets in Dien Ban town, Bac Tra My, Dai Loc, and Nam Giang districts with a total amount of more than 1,040,000,000 VND.

1. Granting 15 Great Unity Houses in Dien Ban Town, Dai Loc District, and Nam Giang District


Following the Party and State's policies for revolutionary contributors, and commemorating the 76th War Invalids and Martyrs' Day (27/7/1947-27/7/2023), the Happy Home Fund visited to pay homage to heroes and martyrs and extended gratitude to families of revolutionary contributors in the hometowns of Mother Thu and Hero Troi.


In Dien Ban Town, Quang Nam Province, the Happy Home Fund, in coordination with the Town Party Committee, People’s Council, People’s Committee, and Fatherland Front Committee, granted 5 Great Unity Houses to families in particularly difficult circumstances. The ceremony was attended by Mr. Nguyen Manh Hung, Deputy Chief Inspector of the province; Mr. Nguyen Xuan Ha, Deputy Chairman of the Town People’s Committee; and Associate Professor Dr. Nguyen Thi To Quyen, Chairwoman of the Board of Management and Executive Director of the Fund.

Mother Nguyen Thi Thu (Mother Thu) was born in Xom Rung, Dien Thang Trung Commune, Dien Ban District, Quang Nam Province. She is a Vietnamese mother who lost the most children and grandchildren in both the wars against the French and the Americans: 9 sons, 1 son-in-law, and 2 grandsons. She bid farewell to her children and grandchildren 14 times, of which 12 did not return and received death notices for her sons nine times. She is an emblematic figure of the Heroic Vietnamese Mothers, symbolizing endless dedication, sacrifice, and a representation of Vietnamese women. The Heroic Mother Vietnam Monument in Quang Nam is modeled after her. Hero Nguyen Van Troi was born in 1940 in Thanh Quyt 4 Hamlet, Dien Thang Trung Commune, Dien Ban District. He was captured on May 9, 1964, while on a revolutionary mission at Cong Ly Bridge, Saigon, and secretly executed on October 15, 1964.


In Thanh Quyt 4 Quarter, Dien Thang Trung Ward, Dien Ban Town, the Happy Home Fund visited and offered incense at the house of Heroic Mother Nguyen Thi Thu and the memorial house of Hero and Martyr Nguyen Van Troi. They also visited Hero Troi's sister and granted 50 million VND to Mr. Nguyen Van Loc, Troi's nephew, to help rebuild a charity house. On behalf of the Party Committee, People’s Council, People’s Committee, and Fatherland Front Committee of Dien Thang Trung Ward, Mr. Le Tu Doi, Chairman of the People’s Committee, and Mr. Truong Cong Nhan, Deputy Chairman of the People’s Committee, expressed gratitude to the Happy Home Fund for supporting Mr. Nguyen Van Loc's family and thanked the Town Party Committee, People’s Council, People’s Committee, and Fatherland Front Committee for their efforts in caring for policy families. Mr. Nguyen Van Loc has commenced construction of the house and promised to complete it soon to stabilize his family's life.

In Phong Nhat Quarter, Dien An Ward, Dien Ban Town, the Happy Home Fund granted 50 million VND to Mrs. Tran Thi Huynh's family for house construction. Mr. Trinh Cap, Deputy Chairman of the People’s Committee of Dien An Ward, expressed gratitude to the Happy Home Fund and thanked the Town Party Committee, People’s Council, People’s Committee, and Fatherland Front Committee for their support.

In Dong Duc Hamlet, Dien Tho Commune, Dien Ban Town, the Happy Home Fund provided 50 million VND to Mrs. Nguyen Thi Phan’s family for house construction. Mrs. Phan Thi Thu Suong, Chairwoman of the People’s Committee of Dien An Ward, thanked the Happy Home Fund for their support.

In Chau Son 1 Hamlet, Dien Tien Commune, Dien Ban Town, the Happy Home Fund granted 50 million VND to Mrs. Pham Thi Han's family for house construction. Mrs. Nguyen Thi Thien, Deputy Chairwoman of the People’s Committee of Dien Tien Commune, expressed gratitude to the Happy Home Fund.

In La Huan Hamlet, Dien Tho Commune, Dien Ban Town, the Happy Home Fund granted 50 million VND to Mrs. Mai Thi Cat’s family for house construction. Mrs. Phan Thi Thu Suong, Chairwoman of the People’s Committee of Dien Tien Commune, thanked the Happy Home Fund.

In Dai Loc District, the Happy Home Fund, in coordination with the District Party Committee, People’s Council, People’s Committee, Fatherland Front Committee, and the Party Committees of Dai Minh, Dai Tan, Dai Chanh, Dai Lanh, and Dai Son communes, provided 5 Great Unity Houses to 5 families.

The ceremony was attended by Mr. Nguyen Hao, District Party Secretary; Mr. Le Van Quang, District Chairman; Mr. Dang Van Ky, Deputy District Chairman; Mr. Mai Xuan Anh, Deputy Chairman of the Fatherland Front Committee; Mr. Phan Nam, Chairman of Dai Minh Commune; Mr. Nguyen The Duc, Chairman of Dai Tan Commune; Mr. Huynh Van Hoa, Chairman of Dai Chanh Commune; Ms. Truong Thi Minh Phuong, Chairwoman of Dai Lanh Commune; Mr. Nguyen Van Trung, Chairman of Dai Son Commune, along with other district and commune officials. Representing the Happy Home Fund was Associate Professor Dr. Nguyen Thi To Quyen, Chairwoman of the Board of Management and Executive Director of the Fund.

At the ceremony, the Happy Home Fund and district and commune leaders directly handed over 50 million VND to each of the 5 families for house construction. The families included Mrs. Nguyen Thi But, Lam Yen Hamlet, Dai Minh Commune; Mrs. Phan Thi My Kieu, An Chanh Hamlet, Dai Tan Commune; Mrs. Nguyen Thi Ba, Thanh Trung Hamlet, Dai Chanh Commune; Mrs. Nguyen Thi To Quynh, Duc Dong Hamlet, Dai Lanh Commune; Mr. and Mrs. Luong Phong Quoc, Dong Cham Hamlet, Dai Son Commune.


In Nam Giang District, the Happy Home Fund provided 5 Great Unity Houses, each worth 50 million VND, to families in need. The ceremony was attended by Mr. A Viet Son, District Chairman, and representatives from the District Party Committee, People’s Council, People’s Committee, and Fatherland Front Committee; district offices; and leaders of Ta Bhing Commune and Thanh My Town. At Ta Bhing Commune, the Fund supported 3 families: Mr. A Viet Voi, Mr. Po Loong Ban, and Mr. Riah Thieu, all classified as poor. At Thanh My Town, the Fund supported Mr. B Lup Minh and Mr. Bo Nuoc Lam from Pa Dau 1 Hamlet.


Representing Nam Giang District leaders, Mr. A Viet Son, Deputy District Secretary, and District Chairman expressed gratitude to the Happy Home Fund, committing to support the families in completing their houses soon.

2. Giving support with a Livelihood Model in Bac Tra My District

On August 20, 2023, at Tra Giang Commune People’s Committee, Bac Tra My District, Quang Nam Province, the Happy Home Fund, in collaboration with the Quang Nam Provincial Inspectorate and district leaders, provided 150 native black piglets to 50 poor and near-poor households, totaling 231 million VND. Beneficiaries included Co, Muong, Nung, Cadong, Dao, and Kinh ethnic groups.


This initiative supports the development of the Tra Giang native black pig farming model as per the Tra Giang Commune’s development plan, aiming to build a brand and geographical indication for Tra Giang Black Pig.


The ceremony was attended by Mr. Nguyen Duc Tien, Chief Inspector of Quang Nam Province; Mr. Nguyen Manh Hung, Deputy Chief Inspector; Mr. Nguyen Kim Son, Deputy District Secretary of Bac Tra My; Mr. Le Van Tuan, Deputy Chairman of Bac Tra My District; and Mr. Le Van Binh, Chairman of Tra Giang Commune.


Mr. Nguyen Kim Son, Deputy District Secretary, thanked the Happy Home Fund for supporting Tra Giang Commune's economic model and brand development, aiming to improve residents’ lives. The Quang Nam Provincial Inspectorate is a partner of Tra Giang Commune

3. Donating 400 Warm Winter Blankets in Nam Giang and Dai Loc District

In late autumn, as the weather turned chilly, the Happy Home Fund distributed 400 warm winter blankets to residents in Nam Giang and Dai Loc Districts, Quang Nam Province.


In Nam Giang District, 200 blankets were given to the District Red Cross, which will distribute them to six border communes: Cho Chun, La Ê, La Dê, Dak Pring, Dak Pre, and Dak Toi.


In Dai Loc District, 200 blankets were given to the District Fatherland Front Committee, which will distribute them to remote areas before winter arrives
