Rising floodwaters from rivers caused dikes to overflow, submerging many low-lying and riverside communes in Hạ Hòa District. Heavy rains triggered landslides in various areas, resulting in casualties. On the morning of September 10, 2024, a landslide in Tứ Hiệp Commune claimed lives. The flooding caused the Thao River to overflow onto 6.7 km of National Highway 2D, affecting Tứ Hiệp Commune, forcing the relocation of 215 households within the dike. The floodwaters breached the right bank of the Thao River in Xuân Áng Commune. Ấm Thượng Commune experienced flooding beyond historical levels. The 316th Division of Military Region 2, along with the Phú Thọ Military Command, deployed over 400 soldiers to reinforce dikes in the communes of Hậu Bồng, Ấm Hạ, Xuân Áng, and Đan Thượng. Floodwaters from the river poured over National Highway 2B, cutting off residential areas in Hạ Hòa Town.

At the relief site, the team worked with the district's Fatherland Front Committee, and the leaders of Văn Lang and Xuân Áng communes to distribute 107 cartons of various fresh milk, 2,100 boxes of instant noodles, 255 boxes of dry food, 185 boxes of rice cakes, 30 boxes of Chocopie, 110 life jackets, 306 cartons of bottled water, 400 power banks, 650 gift packages, 5 bags of clothing, and directly donated 30 million VND in cash to the Hạ Hòa District People's Committee. The total value of donations amounted to 612,270,000 VND. On behalf of the district’s Party Committee, People's Council, and People’s Committee, Mr. Nguyễn Ngọc Anh, Deputy Secretary of the District Party Committee and Chairman of the District People's Committee, expressed his gratitude for the kind-hearted support from the residents of Vinhomes Riverside The Harmony Long Biên, Hanoi; Vinhomes Riverside Long Biên; members of the Harmony Long Biên Golf Club; and benefactors from Buôn Ma Thuột, Ho Chi Minh City, Đà Nẵng, and other areas for sending a relief team to aid Hạ Hòa’s residents during the devastating storm and floods.
