DONATING 6 GREAT UNITY HOUSES TO THE HMONG PEOPLE IN MU CANG CHAI AND LAUNCHING THE "WARM WINTER BLANKETS" PROGRAM

On September 30, 2023, the “Happy Home Fund”, in collaboration with the Yen Bai Provincial Inspectorate, the People's Council, the People's Committee, and the Fatherland Front Committee of Mu Cang Chai District, as well as the Party Committee, People's Council, People's Committee, and Fatherland Front Committee of Cao Pha and Nam Co communes, held a ceremony to give 6 charity houses to 6 Hmong families facing housing difficulties. Additionally, 500 warm winter blankets were distributed to people in the Hmong, Thai, Kinh, and Nung ethnic groups in Mu Cang Chai District, marking the launch of the "Warm Winter Blankets" program for the ethnic minorities in the northern highland regions.

         Attending the ceremony were Mr. Nguyen Duy Tuyen, Deputy Chief Inspector of the province, and various officials and youth union members from the provincial inspectorate. Representing Mu Cang Chai District leadership were Mr. Nong Viet Yen, Member of the Provincial Party Committee, Secretary of the District Party Committee, and Chairman of the District People's Council; Mr. Nguyen Tien Quan, Member of the District Party Standing Committee, Deputy Chairman of the District People's Council; and Mr. Sung A Chua, Member of the District Party Standing Committee, Deputy Chairman of the District People's Committee. Representing the Happy Home Fund were Associate Professor Dr. Nguyen Thi To Quyen, Chairman of the Board of Management and Director of the Fund, along with other fund leaders.


          At Cao Pha Commune, the ceremony was attended by Mr. Vàng A Chái, Secretary of the Party Committee and Chairman of the Commune People's Committee, and other local leaders. The fund provided support to three Hmong families: Mr. Luong Van Phan, Mr. Ha Van Duc, and Mr. Tong Van Son from Lim Thai Village, each receiving 50 million VND to rebuild resilient homes against the annual storm and flood seasons.

At Nam Co Commune, the ceremony was attended by Mr. To Van Hoc, Chairman of the Commune People's Committee, and other local leaders. The fund supported three Hmong families: Mr. Sung Nha Di, Mr. Vang A Nha (C), and Mr. Hang A Pao from Ta Ghenh Village, each receiving 50 million VND for home reconstruction.

/upload/images/anh-2-chan-am.jpgAt the Mu Cang Chai District People's Committee headquarters, witnessed by district and commune leaders, the Happy Home Fund launched the program to distribute 14,000 warm winter blankets to ethnic minorities in 14 northern highland provinces. The fund directly distributed 500 blankets to residents of Mu Cang Chai District, symbolizing the beginning of their effort to bring warmth to the community during the winter.

Representing the district leadership, Mr. Nguyen Tien Quan and Mr. Vang A Chua thanked “Happy Home fund” for its generous support and expressed their hope that the fund would continue to grow and assist more families in need.

In his remarks, Mr. Nguyen Duy Tien mentioned that following the decision of the Yen Bai Provincial Party Committee to assign provincial departments to assist particularly difficult communes in Mu Cang Chai District, the provincial inspectorate connected with the Happy Home Fund to support Cao Pha and Nam Co communes. The provincial inspectorate considered this initiative a model for effective assistance to the ethnic minorities in the connected communes.
