DISTRIBUTING AID TO 33 FAMILIES IN DIFFICULT CIRCUMSTANCES ACROSS CAM MY AND VINH CUU DISTRICTS IN DONG NAI PROVINCE; LONG MY DISTRICT AND VI THANH CITY IN HAU GIANG PROVINCE; CAO LANH DISTRICT IN DONG THAP PROVINCE; BU GIA MAP DISTRICT IN BINH PHUOC PROV

          Responding to requests from the Commune and District People's Committees and the local Red Cross organization, in the closing days of 2023 and as the new year 2024 approaches, Happy Home Foundation provided direct support to families facing particularly difficult circumstances in Dong Nai, Hau Giang, and other areas, totaling 165 million VND in cash aid.

          At the People's Committee headquarters of Song Ray commune, Cam My district, Dong Nai province, representatives from the Happy Home Foundation, along with local government and Red Cross, extended their support and New Year's greetings. Two households in distress received 5 million VND each, including Mr. Ma Van Deng and Mr. Vi Van Nga.


        Mr. Ma Van Deng, of the Nung ethnic group, lives in severe hardship. His wife, born blind and with severe mental illness, is unable to work. Their only son, also mentally challenged, is prone to destructive episodes and unable to work. Mr. Deng's elderly mother, born in 1938, is paralyzed and mentally ill, rendering her unable to work. Mr. Deng, the sole provider of the family, struggles to support his four-member family through odd jobs. The family's living conditions are dire, with a deteriorating house and no valuable assets. Mr. Deng hopes for some capital to start livestock farming to increase his income.
 

       Mr. Vi Van Nga, also of the Nung ethnic group, faces extreme difficulties. Having suffered two strokes and with a history of mental illness, he is too frail to work. His eldest daughter, abandoned by her husband, does odd jobs to support her 3-year-old child. His son, born in 1991, is mentally ill and left by his wife with two young children. Another son, born in 1996, is visually impaired and mentally challenged, unable to work. His youngest daughter, born in 1997, also mentally ill and abandoned by her husband, struggles with health issues and cannot work. The family lives in poor conditions without any land for farming. Mr. Nga hopes for assistance to start poultry farming for additional income.


       On behalf of the local leadership, Mr. Nguyen Van Hanh, Chairman of the People's Committee of Song Ray commune, expressed gratitude to the Happy Home Foundation for their long journey from Hanoi to provide support and encouragement directly to the families in need.

The Happy Home Foundation continues to provide support, health wishes, and New Year greetings to 10 families identified as poor, near-poor, in particularly difficult circumstances, or with severely ill family members in Xuân Đông commune, Cẩm Mỹ district, Đồng Nai province.


The families include Mrs. Nguyễn Thị Lượt, Mr. Phạm Văn Đôi, Mr. Hoàng Văn Anh, Mr. Dương Văn Phác, Mr. Nông Văn Cún, Mr. Vi Ngọc Sinh, Mrs. Nguyễn Thị Cảnh, Mrs. Bùi Thị Thảo, Mr. Lăng Văn Me, and Mrs. Vi Thị Dự. Each family received 5 million VND in cash. Mrs. Nguyễn Thị Lượt, 70 years old, without spouse or children, living alone, faces difficult and deprived conditions. Mr. Nông Văn Cún, of the Nùng ethnic group, with weak health and a household of five, lives in extreme hardship with no land for farming and only temporary jobs for income. Their house is dilapidated, and they have no valuable assets. Mr. Cún hopes for some capital to buy poultry to raise for additional income. Mr. Vi Ngọc Sinh, born in 1949, also of the Nùng ethnic group, with a household of six, a paralyzed wife, no land for farming, and his main income from casual labor. Their house is in poor condition with no assets. Mr. Sinh hopes for support from the Happy Home Foundation to stabilize their life. Mrs. Bùi Thị Thảo, without a home, living in borrowed spaces, without land for farming, working as a day laborer, is a single mother with two small children, living in very difficult circumstances. On behalf of the local leaders, Mr. Đỗ Nguyễn Văn Mười, Vice Chairman of the People's Committee of Xuân Đông commune, thanked the Happy Home Foundation for coming directly to the families to share their difficulties and wished the Foundation continued growth, bringing joy and timely encouragement, meaningful to more families in society.

The Happy Home Foundation persists in its efforts to support, send health wishes and New Year greetings to eight families facing severe hardship, poverty, near-poverty, or illness in Thanh Phu commune, Vinh Cuu district, Dong Nai province. Each family received financial support of 5 million VND. The families assisted this time include Mr. Nguyen Van Ngoc, Mrs. Le Thi Tu, Mrs. Nguyen Thi Von, Mrs. Nguyen Thi Lai, Mrs. Nguyen Thi Dam, Mrs. Nguyen Thi Hanh, Mrs. Dang Thi Co, and Mr. Nguyen Kim Dang.
 

On behalf of the local leadership, Mr. Le Nguyen Song Toan, Chairman of the People's Committee of Thanh Phu commune, expressed gratitude for the foundation’s kindness and wished for its enduring presence and increased support for the community's disadvantaged

          The foundation also provided support and New Year wishes to nine other households facing difficulties in Luong Tam commune, Long My district, Hau Giang province, with each family receiving 5 million VND. The beneficiaries included Mr. Le Minh Tam, Mrs. Le Thi Au, Mr. Le Van Liem, Mr. Chau Liem Sen, Mr. Le Van Chinh, Mr. Huynh Kim Em, Mrs. Nguyen Thi Anh, Mr. Nguyen Van Thuong, and Mr. Mai Van Su. This is also known as the hometown of former Chief Inspector of the Government, Huynh Phong Tranh.

On behalf of Luong Tam commune's leadership, Mrs. Tran Hong Hoa thanked the Happy Home Foundation for their support and encouragement, appreciating their visit to the commune.


Local leaders along with the foundation’s representatives held a ceremony offering incense and flowers at the Historic Ho Chi Minh Shrine in Luong Tam commune, established on September 2, 1969, after the death of president Ho Chi Minh. The Ministry of Culture and Information recognized it as a national historical site on January 7, 2000. Since its establishment, the shrine has been continuously renovated and beautified by local authorities and the community.

During this period, the Happy Home Foundation also provided support to other families in extremely difficult circumstances: Mr. Nguyen Cong Tu from Van Phu commune, Bu Gia Map district, Binh Phuoc province; Mrs. Dao Phuong Chi from District 10, Ho Chi Minh City; Mrs. Mai Kim Phung from Binh Hang Trung commune, Cao Lanh district, Dong Thap province; and Mr. Le Minh Tien from Vị Thanh city, Hau Giang province, each receiving 5 million VND in cash along with health and New Year wishes.
